Ola Morris operated Morris’ Beauty Salon at 46 North Howard Street in Akron in the 1940s, according to both the 1940 Akron Negro Directory and the 1947 Green Book.

The salon had the tagline, “For Women Who Care.” Ola Morris’ marriage to a man by the name of Mr. Colwell was announced in the Defiance Daily Crescent News on April 24, 1912.
