Lindsay’s Sky Bar

Lindsays’ Sky Bar was a jazz club located at 10551 Euclid Avenue from 1934 to 1952. Owned by Philip and Rickie Bash, Lindsay’s was the first Cleveland jazz club to feature national performers on a nightly basis. Certainly African American musicians played at Lindsay’s from the start, but it is not clear whether Black patrons were as well. By 1941, Lindsay’s Sky Bar began to appear in the Call & Post.
